About the position

The Product and Content Marketing Analyst will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining product content for a leading e-commerce website that specializes in OEM and aftermarket parts for industrial and on-highway engines, transmissions, and heavy-duty equipment. This position is integral to the eCommerce Team and will involve a variety of responsibilities that span the entire item lifecycle, from product availability to retirement. The analyst will be expected to conduct thorough product and industry research, develop engaging content for various channels, manage product information, and ensure the accuracy and relevance of technical writing. In this role, the analyst will closely collaborate with multiple teams, including Oracle Item Setup, Digital Marketing, Pricing, and Inside Sales, to ensure that product content is not only informative but also optimized for search engines. The analyst will report directly to the Director of eCommerce and the Manager of Product Content and Development, working under their guidance to achieve departmental goals. Key responsibilities include researching and creating product content using vendor websites and databases, writing unique product descriptions and blog content, and managing metadata for SEO purposes. The analyst will also be responsible for reviewing existing content to identify and resolve issues, updating website content and marketing materials, and assisting the Marketing and Inside Sales Teams with customer inquiries. Additionally, the analyst will need to identify and coordinate the resolution of item data and pricing discrepancies with the relevant teams, ensuring that all product information is accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

  • Research information to create product content utilizing vendor websites, databases, and other sources.
  • Write new, unique product content utilizing Salesforce software and other tools.
  • Create keywords, identify related parts, and develop metadata for search engine optimization.
  • Write new, unique blog content.
  • Review existing content and product data to identify issues and drive issues to closure.
  • Update website content, marketing materials, and blogs as required.
  • Assist the Marketing and Inside Sales Teams with questions and customer requests as required.
  • Identify item data issues or discrepancies and coordinate resolution with the Oracle Item Setup team.
  • Identify pricing issues or discrepancies and resolve with the Pricing team.
  • Utilize spreadsheets and data tools for data analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Prior experience with Oracle EBS and Salesforce systems is preferred, not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
