About the position

The Product Control Intermediate Analyst (C11) position at Citi is an intermediate level role that plays a crucial part in ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of the bank's financial records. This role is primarily focused on coordinating with the Finance team to maintain data integrity, perform general ledger reconciliations, and conduct profit attribution and new activity analysis. The analyst will also be responsible for valuation control and product profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet reporting. The overall objective of this position is to support the financial operations of the bank by ensuring that all financial data is accurate and compliant with regulatory standards. In this role, the analyst will be expected to solve complex issues with minimal supervision, applying in-depth knowledge of industry standards and practices to daily tasks. The analyst will analyze various situations and data using data analysis tools and methodologies, providing solutions for issues that may impact the broader business. Clear and concise communication is essential, as the analyst will need to convey information effectively to stakeholders. Additionally, the analyst must assess risks associated with business decisions, ensuring that the firm's reputation and assets are safeguarded by adhering to applicable laws, rules, and regulations. This includes driving compliance with internal policies and escalating any control issues transparently. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of financial principles, as the analyst will be integral in maintaining the integrity of the bank's financial reporting and operations.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with general ledger reconciliation
  • Knowledge of profit and loss analysis.
