About the position

As a Product Controller (Home Lending), Vice President at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a critical role in the Home Lending Controllers group, collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis. This position involves preparing daily P&L reports, conducting reconciliations, and providing insights into financial performance, all while supporting business objectives and enhancing reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze daily P&L reports for Capital Markets, ensuring accuracy of the attribution and completeness
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations with Financial Control and ensure all discrepancies are investigated and resolved
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain changes in P&L and balance sheet positions, providing insights to senior management
  • Assist in compilation of forecast submissions and revenue commentaries
  • Preparation and review of 10Q/10K reporting submissions
  • Substantiation of MSR inputs, model changes, and results for analysis, risk management, and external reporting
  • Assist in internal audit and external audit requests
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of BAU reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support business objectives and resolve issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a subject of a technical nature
  • 6+ years of work experience in Financial Services and/or accounting/controller background
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and creative thinking skills
  • Highly disciplined individual, self-motivated, and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Curious, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging peers
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly, develop a plan, and execute for results
  • Ability to build relationships with a diverse group of both technical and non-technical resources

Nice-to-haves
