About the position

Partners Group's Evergreen Product Control team is seeking a talented Product Controller to join our growing Americas team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and accounting for our private equity funds, particularly for US-based Private Wealth products. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic global team and contribute to the continued success of Partners Group in the Americas. In this position, you will review and approve Net Asset Values and Financial Statements prepared by external service providers. This includes monitoring performance and rationalizing the NAV movement within the portfolio, by overseeing financial control and reporting for product lines and portfolios. You will also be responsible for the operation and enhancement of firm-wide private markets models and systems, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timely delivery of SEC filings and other regulatory reporting. Additionally, you will assist third-party partners associated with our registered funds, including auditors, fund administrators, and custodians, by coordinating workflows and reviewing deliverables. As a key product expert within the firm for assigned products, you will foster open communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal results. Furthermore, you will contribute to process improvement initiatives across the business unit or department.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve Net Asset Values and Financial Statements prepared by external service providers.
  • Monitor performance and rationalize the NAV movement within the portfolio.
  • Oversee financial control and reporting for product lines and portfolios.
  • Operate and enhance firm-wide private markets models and systems.
  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timely delivery of SEC filings and other regulatory reporting.
  • Assist third-party partners associated with registered funds, including auditors, fund administrators, and custodians.
  • Coordinate workflows and review deliverables for third-party partners.
  • Become a key product expert within the firm for assigned products.
  • Foster open communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the business unit or department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferably with a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA).
  • 1-3 years of experience in filings, controlling or financial audit functions.
  • Prior experience in private markets fund accounting and/or financial reporting is a plus.
  • Prior experience in computer programming (VBA/SQL/Python) and Excel is considered an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated work ethic.
