About the position

As a Product Copywriter at Carter's, you will play a crucial role in shaping the voice of our brands through engaging and accurate product descriptions. This position is based in our Buckhead office and operates within a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a collaborative atmosphere. Your primary responsibility will be to craft compelling product descriptions for our family of brands, including Carter's, OshKosh B'gosh, Little Planet, and our Canada-exclusive products. You will become a product expert, working closely with the copywriting, merchandising, and design teams to ensure that all descriptions adhere to our brand voice and style guidelines, as well as SEO best practices. In this role, you will spend approximately 75% of your time creating engaging and accurate product descriptions that highlight product features, fits, and benefits. You will also be responsible for maintaining consistency across all brands and seeking innovative ways to enhance our product copy strategy and efficiency. Additionally, you will update product landing page header and footer copy, as well as meta descriptions, leveraging insights from our SEO Director and agency partners to capitalize on opportunities for improvement. The remaining 10% of your time will involve collaboration with graphic designers, art directors, and marketing channel leaders to support various marketing initiatives, including email campaigns and paid media copy. You will also develop clear and concise UX copy for our website and app, continuously reviewing our brand sites for opportunities to enhance user experience. Responsibilities

  • Seasonally update product landing page header copy, footer copy, and meta descriptions across key site destinations, leveraging insights from SEO Director and agency.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, art directors, and marketing channel leaders to support marketing initiatives (email, subject lines, paid media copy, etc.).
  • Develop clear, concise UX site and app copy, and consistently scrub brand sites for opportunities.

Requirements

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills adhering to AP style.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Creative thinker who is ambitious, adaptable, and responds positively to feedback.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and how copy relates to design.
