About the position

As a Product Copywriter at Klein Tools, you will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and the marketing team to create engaging and benefit-driven content that reflects the brand's commitment to quality tools for skilled trades professionals. Your role will involve market research, crafting persuasive product descriptions, and optimizing content for SEO, all while maintaining brand voice and consistency across various channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of target audiences and competitive landscape through research and collaboration with product managers, engineers, and the marketing team.
• Write and edit product descriptions, packaging copy, and other product-related content that highlights key benefits and is easy for consumers to understand.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and consistency across all product messaging, sourcing data from multiple stakeholders and systems.
• Use available SEO resources to optimize product copy for search rankings and organic traffic while maintaining readability and brand voice.
• Ensure all copy is accurate, follows company brand guidelines, and maintains a consistent tone across marketing assets and channels.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns and product launches.
• Monitor product copy performance through customer feedback and analytics, making improvements as necessary.
• Liaise with language translation vendor for designated projects to ensure necessary translations are complete for product launch assets.
• Create and curate a database of copy style guides, product vocabulary, required warnings, and associated specifications.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for precise language.
• Intrinsic curiosity about product function and feature benefits; high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to adapt with a high sense of urgency in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Demonstrates strong ownership with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines while collaborating with others.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday, Smart Sheet, Wrike) to track and review projects.
• Experience working within a Content Management System (CMS).
• Ability to establish efficiencies in processes and systems to improve results.
