About the position

The Product Cost Excellence, Lead role at Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC involves overseeing project scope and schedules, ensuring timely delivery of actions and work products. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and develop solutions, while also managing risks and deviations from project targets. The lead will be responsible for maintaining project documentation and facilitating communication among stakeholders, ultimately guiding projects to successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop the overall project scope and schedule with detailed sub-workstreams by function.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and gather requirements.
• Lead, communicate, and drive project objectives and actions across all applicable stakeholders.
• Identify risks to project execution, schedule, or scope and facilitate mitigation.
• Employ analytical skills to evaluate data and resolve issues to meet project requirements and targets.
• Identify deviations from project targets and coordinate functions to implement countermeasures.
• Create and maintain project document structure and data repositories.
• Schedule, conduct, document, and disseminate minutes for all project-related meetings.
• Escalate time-sensitive issues to appropriate decision makers.
• Prepare and present materials for monthly executive reviews.
• Guide stakeholders in the timely delivery of their work packages.
• Present unresolved issues to leadership for approval and drive decisions back to the project team.
• May lead multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience as a Project/Program Manager or in a related role.
• At least 5 years of experience with SAP ERP/PLM.
• At least 5 years of experience with NX Unigraphics.
• At least 5 years of experience with new product development (NPD) Phase Gate Design Processes.
• At least 5 years of experience working with international supply-based teams.
• At least 5 years of experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• At least 5 years of experience with cost/benefit analysis.
• At least 5 years of experience tracking project schedules and managing PMO.
