About the position

The Product Cost Excellence Lead at Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC is responsible for developing and managing project scopes, schedules, and deliverables while ensuring effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams. This role involves identifying project risks, employing analytical skills to resolve issues, and maintaining project documentation. The position requires leadership in guiding stakeholders and presenting project updates to executive management, with the potential to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop the overall project scope and schedule with detailed sub-workstreams by function.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and gather requirements.
• Lead and communicate project objectives and actions across all applicable stakeholders.
• Identify risks to project execution, schedule, or scope and facilitate mitigation.
• Employ analytical skills to evaluate data and resolve issues to meet project requirements.
• Identify deviations from project targets and coordinate functions to implement counter measures.
• Create and maintain project document structure and data repositories.
• Schedule, conduct, document, and disseminate minutes for all project-related meetings.
• Escalate time-sensitive issues to appropriate decision makers.
• Prepare and present materials for monthly executive reviews.
• Guide stakeholders in the timely delivery of their work packages.
• Present undecided aspects to leadership for approval and document decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience as a Project/Program Manager or in a related role.
• At least 5 years of experience with SAP ERP/PLM.
• At least 5 years of experience with NX Unigraphics.
• At least 5 years of experience with new product development (NPD) Phase Gate Design Processes.
• At least 5 years of experience working with international supply-based teams.
• At least 5 years of experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• At least 5 years of experience with cost/benefit analysis.
• At least 5 years of experience tracking project schedules and managing PMO.
