About the position

The Digital PM Lead Analyst is a Vice President (C13) level position within Citi's Chief Data Office (CDO), which operates under the Chief Operating Office (COO) organization. The COO's mandate is to spearhead the Transformation efforts of the firm, aiming to deliver client excellence, enhance operating efficiency, and improve returns. Within this framework, the CDO is tasked with an enterprise-wide initiative to transform and fortify the firm's data capabilities, modernize data infrastructure, simplify the data operating model, and execute the strategic priorities set forth by the firm. The CDO is responsible for defining and enforcing data-related policies and standards across Citi, equipping the organization with the necessary tools to take ownership and accountability for data governance and management. This role is situated within the CDO Tooling Strategy team and focuses on the product management of data governance capabilities essential for supporting the Transformation initiatives. The Digital PM Lead Analyst will engage with business users and stakeholders to collect, analyze, and document business requirements. They will break down high-level business requirements into user stories, write and groom these user stories in collaboration with Technology teams, and act as a product owner. This includes managing the sprint backlog, participating in agile events, and maintaining daily interactions with both business users and technology teams. The analyst will also identify and resolve issues and blockers promptly, ensuring that product deliverables remain on track and are delivered on time. Coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with technology and business users is also a key responsibility, along with conducting data analysis to document business requirements at the appropriate level. The role requires driving cross-functional collaboration and facilitating effective communication between business and technology partners.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business users and stakeholders to collect, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Break down high-level business requirements into user stories and groom them with Technology teams.
  • Act as a product owner, managing the sprint backlog and participating in agile events.
  • Maintain daily interaction with business users and technology teams.
  • Identify and resolve issues and blockers in a timely manner to ensure product deliverables are on track.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with technology and business users.
  • Conduct data analysis to document business requirements at the right level.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and facilitate effective communication with business and technology partners.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge in data modeling, database design, data warehouse, data pipeline, and data visualization.
  • 1-3 years of Product Owner experience, preferably in data product management.
  • Professional experience in financial services is desired.
  • Agile/Scrum/SAFe training; PO/PM certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Strong data analysis skills, particularly in MS Excel and SQL.
