About the position

The Data Analyst at Newell Brands will play a crucial role in fostering a data-driven culture to support business transformation. This position is part of the Data Quality Office and/or the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Center of Expertise (COE). The successful candidate will leverage their business, data, and technical skills to enhance collaboration among various teams, ensuring high-quality data management and analysis across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in deploying the data governance framework across the Product data domain.
  • Profile data for data quality measurements.
  • Document data definitions and standards.
  • Apply business rules to data to measure data quality levels.
  • Build requirements and design data quality checking processes.
  • Ensure consistency across technology and drive for data integrity and standard processes.
  • Attend PLM gate review meetings to offer process & data quality assistance.
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners to understand opportunities for improvement, address customer needs and Product data pain-points.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • 2+ years' experience in working with product data and product lifecycle management processes.
  • Business acumen regarding the product development lifecycle with a history of using data to solve business problems.
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed team environment with shifting deadlines & deliverable dates.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of motivation to learn and go above and beyond.
  • Intellectual curiosity for digging into data quality concerns.
  • MS Office skills, data profiling experience, scripting programming language skills, and MS PowerBI experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
