About the position

DSG is seeking a Product Data Analyst to assist in the continuation of our digital transformation. The role involves managing and governing data, identifying gaps, and connecting data to key business processes. The analyst will work cross-functionally to improve business operations and align on data usage to support various stakeholders within the organization. Remote/hybrid work opportunities are available, but the ideal candidate should reside within DSG's geographical footprint.

Responsibilities

• Perform data management tasks such as creating or enriching product master data
• Search for data automation opportunities
• Determine appropriate methods to analyze operations and relevant information
• Identify operational requirements and areas of improvement and work with process owners on solutions
• Create and edit workflows and configure related data needs in our MDM/PIM environment
• Create reports to analyze data
• Document findings and make recommendations for improved data governance
• Create user stories for the ongoing cross-channel product backlog
• Adapt to other responsibilities as the business transformation evolves

Requirements

• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to differentiate facts from beliefs in data
• Process-minded with the ability to develop workflows for process efficiencies
• Experience with product data in a retail or distribution landscape
• Experience with Plumbing, HVAC, and/or Electrical products preferred
• Strong communication skills between departments
• Ability to understand the roots of a problem and identify possible solutions
