About the position

The Product Data Quality Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of product data within the Master Data Management group at Veritiv. This position is responsible for developing and implementing tools and processes that assess and update product data, thereby maintaining optimal Product Data Health. The analyst will support Veritiv's revenue growth strategy by overseeing the technical design of Product, Customer, and Supplier data, ensuring these data points are maintained accurately to facilitate strategic execution across the business. In this role, the analyst will ensure that product data is complete and accurate, empowering the business to utilize this data effectively. They will develop or research tools to optimize mass product data updates, enhancing efficiency in executing these updates. A cross-categorical knowledge base is essential, as the analyst will support Product Data Specialists by serving as a key reference point for onboarding, ongoing training, and operational excellence. Maintaining product data health is a critical responsibility, supporting the broader initiatives of the Master Data Management operation. The analyst will also support the sales organization by adhering to New Item Request KPIs and procedures, ensuring expedient and accurate product additions. Documentation maintenance for new items and item updates is required, along with troubleshooting system and item concerns to provide accurate issue resolution. Additionally, the analyst will assist in testing existing or new system functionality and perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that product data is complete and accurate to empower business strategic execution.
  • Develop and/or research tools to optimize mass product data updates for efficiency.
  • Support Product Data Specialists as a key reference point for onboarding and training.
  • Maintain product data health to support Master Data Management initiatives.
  • Support the sales organization by adhering to New Item Request KPIs for product additions.
  • Maintain documentation for new items and item updates.
  • Troubleshoot system and item concerns to provide accurate issue resolution.
  • Assist in testing existing or new system functionality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related job experience.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills.
  • PC proficient in Windows-based software programs (MS Office).
  • Solid familiarity with operational/logistical mid-range and mainframe systems is desired.
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Microsoft SQL, SSAS, Power Pivot, Power Query or Power BI is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
