About the position

The Product Delivery - Record to Report - Application Analyst role at Southern Company involves providing intermediate application support for critical enterprise applications, specifically Oracle Fusion ERP - Financials and Oracle Fusion EPM. The analyst will ensure stable and efficient operations by troubleshooting issues, optimizing system performance, and supporting end users. This position also includes assisting in the maintenance and delivery of value-add initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring entry-level team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide solution support including configuration, unit testing, and controls execution for Oracle Fusion ERP - Financials and Oracle Fusion EPM.
  • Collaborate with end-users to understand their requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance on system functionalities.
  • Analyze and resolve system defects to ensure system stability, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Optimize system performance by identifying and implementing enhancements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles.
  • Stay informed about the latest features and functionalities of Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and optimizations.
  • Mentor and support entry-level members of the support team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years experience in application support and troubleshooting, focusing on Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM.
  • Working knowledge and expertise in Oracle Fusion ERP - Financials and EPM.
  • Strong understanding of Record to Report end-to-end processes including allocations and general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools like OTBI and business process definition leveraging BPM.
  • Experience with system integrations and middleware tools and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with experience in troubleshooting system issues.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
