About the position

The Product Design Architect at Salesforce is a senior role responsible for defining product direction and ensuring innovative design excellence for Slack. This position involves collaborating with senior leaders, creating prototypes, and driving design initiatives across multiple product pillars, while mentoring other designers and enhancing the design hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Slack's senior product and design leaders to drive product vision and strategy.
• Create prototypes to explore product visions in real time with real data.
• Drive design initiatives that span across multiple product pillars.
• Work with cross-functional partners to define business goals and strategic vision.
• Communicate and reinforce product vision and business objectives clearly to all levels.
• Collaborate on systemic initiatives such as evolving the design system and prototyping process.
• Mentor other designers and improve design feedback processes.
• Recruit and interview designers, enhancing the inclusive design hiring process.

Requirements

• 10+ years of extensive experience in a leading individual contributor role on a product design team for desktop or mobile.
• An outstanding portfolio showcasing typography, interaction and visual design, marketing design, and idea generation.
• Experience collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
• Extensive experience partnering with product managers and engineering to develop vision and strategy for features.
• A track record of mentoring designers and design teams towards top performance.
• Extensive experience with prototyping to explore and convey design solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in mobile and web technologies, with the ability to build on Slack's tech stack.
