About the position
The Product Design Engineer role at SPECTRAFORCE involves working collaboratively with a cross-functional team to solve mechanical problems in the consumer electronics sector. The position requires expertise in 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and vendor communication, with a focus on design for manufacture. The engineer will also collaborate with electrical engineers to develop flexes and cables for products. This is a temporary position lasting 3 months, with a mix of onsite and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Solve mechanical problems in collaboration with a cross-functional team.
- Perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
- Communicate with vendors regarding design specifications.
- Design for manufacture, ensuring products meet production requirements.
- Work with electrical engineers to develop flexes and cables for products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in product design or mechanical engineering.
- Experience in consumer electronics and 3D CAD software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
