About the position

The Product Design Engineer plays a crucial role in coordinating various departments such as Sales, Customers, Prototype, Quality Control, Estimation, Purchasing Materials, and Production. The primary focus is to ensure that products are developed with the necessary documentation, including print specifications, to facilitate accurate quoting, part number structuring, tooling, and production processes that meet customer specifications. The role also involves maintaining print files to ensure repeatability in production while adhering to ISO Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate efforts between Sales, Customers, Prototype, Quality Control, Estimation, Purchasing Materials, and Production.
• Ensure products have the necessary documentation in the form of print specifications.
• Facilitate quoting, part number structure, tooling, and processes to produce products that meet customer specifications.
• Maintain print files to assure repeatability in production.
• Follow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in production.

Requirements

• Experience in product design engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of ISO standards and quality control processes.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in thermoforming processes.
• Familiarity with CAD software for product design.
• Knowledge of materials used in thermoforming.
