About the position

Meta is seeking a Product Design Manager to lead and manage design teams, ensuring that products and features are valuable, user-friendly, and crafted to the highest standards. This role involves collaboration with various disciplines to define strategies and operations that guide the team in creating impactful products for users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a talented, diverse, inclusive team of product designers and leaders.
• Ensure overall team performance and health, resource allocation, and project prioritization.
• Lead and oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and content designers.
• Transform broad, conceptual ideas into useful and valuable products for users.
• Contribute to strategic decisions regarding the future direction of Meta's products.
• Design end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant.
• Define, craft, and evolve designs within visual systems and standards.
• Solicit and provide feedback to continually raise the quality bar and mentor team members.
• Cultivate a healthy design process and contribute to the organization's product strategy.
• Effectively communicate product goals and connect related projects across the company.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Product Design.
• 3+ years of design leadership experience with direct reports.
• 6+ years of experience collaborating with product, engineering, design, content, and user research teams.
• Experience building and shipping applications or software across various platforms.
• Experience leading product direction and strategic thinking, developing product goals, and making impactful decisions.
• Ability to represent work to a broader product team and articulate goals and concepts clearly.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience delivering 0-1 products from concept to launch.
• Experience working on large scale, complex, ambiguous projects across multiple teams.
