About the position
The Product Designer - Advisor, Digital User Experience role at Northwell's Digital Innovation & Transformation team focuses on applying human-centered design methodologies to enhance healthcare experiences. The position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to conceptualize and develop innovative products and services that meet user needs and drive organizational change.
Responsibilities
- Provides strategic advice and guidance on human-centered design methodologies to solve problems and create tangible experiences.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop business strategies and deliver groundbreaking experiences, services, and products.
- Synthesizes and translates insights from research to inform design decisions.
- Develops guiding principles and directives for design, including journey maps and wireframes.
- Understands business goals and market opportunities to provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Performs related duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership/management experience required.
Nice-to-haves
- Design-related Master's degree desirable.
- Relevant experience in human-centered design with health system experience desired.
- Strong visual design and UI/UX design skills, including competency with Figma.
- Portfolio required.
