About the position

The Product Designer role is a contract-to-hire position within a non-profit organization focused on educational technology. The designer will work on a proprietary platform that connects high school students with mentors, aiding them in their college and career pursuits. This position is fully remote, with a preference for local candidates in Manhattan, NY.

Responsibilities

• Design user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
• Maintain an updated and professional portfolio showcasing design work.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional product design experience.
• Proficiency in Figma for design tasks.
• Strong understanding of web and mobile development principles.
• An updated and professional portfolio is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing products targeted towards GenZ users.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
• Experience in the Ed-Tech or Non-Profit sectors is highly preferred.
