About the position

The UX/UI Designer will join the EPX.xd team at Capital One, focusing on enhancing internal Enterprise products to improve associates' experiences. This role emphasizes collaboration with technology, product, and business teams to create intuitive digital experiences, advocating for user needs through human-centered design methods. The designer will participate in product discovery, create design assets, and contribute to the internal design system, all while fostering a culture of collaboration and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology, product, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs and translate them into engaging digital experiences.
• Participate in translating complex ideas into understandable concepts that enhance the product experience.
• Advocate for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, and user testing.
• Champion prioritization of design-centered product enhancements grounded in research and analysis.
• Connect with design community peers by learning, sharing, and teaching.
• Support early product definition by participating in discovery sessions to uncover customer pain points and opportunities.
• Demonstrate familiarity with design tools to deliver concepts and enable successful collaboration across teams.
• Participate in end-to-end product design, creating process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models.
• Design within existing standards and contribute to the internal design system, best practices, and guidelines.
• Create high-fidelity design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience with User Experience design.
• Experience planning and/or facilitating workshops with cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio of work which includes examples of product and visual design.
• Experience working closely with developers and system architects.
• At least 2 years of experience with Complex Data Product Eco-Systems.
• At least 2 years of experience with visual design.
• At least 2 years of experience working with large Enterprise teams.
• Experience in Service Design or using Service Design methods and processes.
