About the position

The Product Designer for GenAI at Meta is responsible for shaping innovative experiences that empower users to build community and connect with others. This role involves transforming broad conceptual ideas into valuable products for over 2 billion users, driving product strategy and innovation across a large organization. The designer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality user experiences from conception to launch, while also mentoring and providing feedback to elevate the team's design standards.

Responsibilities

• Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for users.
• Drive product strategy and innovation across a large organization.
• Design leading-edge concepts through end-to-end flows impacting broad sets of users at scale.
• Design new experiences or layouts that evolve visual systems.
• Communicate strategic decisions regarding the future direction of Facebook products.
• Solicit and give feedback from the broader product team to raise quality standards.
• Lead partnerships with Product Managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee user experience from conception to launch.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping applications or software at company-level scale.
• 8+ years of interaction design experience with knowledge of user needs and prototyping tools.
• 8+ years of visual design experience with proficiency in typography, UI, color, layout, and iconography.
• 8+ years of strategic product thinking with experience in developing product goals and identifying market opportunities.
• Experience representing work to senior executives, articulating goals and concepts clearly.
