About the position

The Product Designer role at ByteDance focuses on enhancing the user experience across payment products. The position involves driving design innovation, creating high-quality designs for mobile and web platforms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle. The designer will be responsible for maintaining design quality and consistency while contributing to the overall design system.

Responsibilities

• Drive the innovation of design and the improvement of user experience across all payment products
• Create high quality designs that are scalable for mobile and web-based products
• Take ownership of design quality, consistency and improve the visual language
• Actively contribute to the design system
• Engage stakeholders and cross-functional teams in customer centric design process
• Be highly involved in the entire product life-cycle from product planning, detail design to implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) educational background
• Strong foundation of design and basic design principles (typography, color, iconography, interaction patterns)
• Proven experience in UI design, visual design (visual language, design system) preferably within the tech sector
• Portfolio with prior work experience that demonstrates your ability to turn complex problems into simple solutions
• Familiarity with localisation, internationalisation and accessibility
• Having a keen eye on design trends and cutting edge technologies
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Photoshop or AI
