About the position

As a Product Designer at Uber, you will focus on creating delightful and high-quality design solutions for our drivers and couriers, particularly in the Sustainability area. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle complex UX challenges and contribute to Uber's goal of becoming a zero-emission and low packaging waste platform by 2040.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-quality design solutions.
• Build wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs based on the UI framework.
• Design systems for simple, elegant experiences based on complex logistics and machine-learning technology.
• Present work in various mediums and fidelities throughout the design process.
• Solicit and give feedback from other designers to improve quality.
• Break down large ambiguous problems into simple solutions and drive them from concept through completion.
• Think systematically to create scalable and delightful experiences.
• Leverage UX Research to understand and design solutions for global customers.
• Work on concepts and prototypes for Uber's Go-Get Zero event.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in designing consumer products.
• Proficiency with Figma or similar tools and prototyping methods.
• Experience working and collaborating in a tech environment.
• A portfolio showcasing high-quality UI and UX work.

Nice-to-haves

• A degree in HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Experience working with user experience researchers and various research methods.
• Interest in sustainability or experience in the sustainability space.
• Experience designing for mobile apps.
• Experience identifying and solving complex design problems.
• Experience designing experiments or A/B testing.
• Experience building into design systems and implementing system components with engineers.
• A track record of shipping great design and understanding details at each stage of the release cycle.
