About the position

As a Product Designer on the Roblox Operating System (ROS), you will play a crucial role in enhancing internal applications that drive employee efficiency and collaboration. This position focuses on creating a user experience architecture and design language that supports the creative workforce at Roblox. You will be responsible for the UX design of custom capabilities that scale Roblox, combining internal tools and third-party applications for various operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Audit, research, strategize and lead design for the in-progress ROS platform.
• Collaborate closely with PMs and engineers to understand their challenges and needs.
• Build a visual design language for ROS.
• Conduct UX research interviews, surveys, and usability tests to validate product design.
• Create journey maps, system maps, service design blueprints, wireframes, prototypes, and design specs.
• Establish a scalable and contextually-aware UX framework and guidelines for consistency across tools.

Requirements

• 4+ years of proven experience in product design, information architecture, UX, or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of consumer products and high-quality UX standards for internal platforms.
• Understanding of the entire product lifecycle, including design sprints and UX research.
• Experience as a design leader, influencing PMs and engineers, and advocating for users.
• Excellent creative, analytical, visual, interaction, and service design skills.
• A design portfolio showcasing functionality, complexity, usability, and flow.
