About the position

The Product Designer Senior role at Apex Systems involves overseeing a portfolio of product teams to support the development of on-premises and cloud analytic solutions. This hybrid position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to create human-centric designs and ensure seamless user experiences. The designer will lead design thinking sessions, conduct user research, and mentor team members while utilizing UI development skills to implement design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead design thinking sessions with various stakeholders.
• Conduct generative user research including contextual inquiry, ethnography, and user interviews.
• Transform user research into design assets such as affinity walls, journey maps, and personas.
• Justify research strategies and insights to stakeholders unfamiliar with UX.
• Collaborate with business partners, product managers, developers, and designers.
• Provide mentoring, teaching, and leadership to team members.
• Evangelize UX within the team and department.
• Utilize UI development skills to implement and test design solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• 3+ years of experience in UX, product management, or a combination of both.
• 2+ years of experience in user research.
• 2+ years of experience in facilitating design thinking and ideation workshops.
• Proficiency in UI development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
