About the position

Apple's Applications group is seeking a senior product designer who will create simple and beautiful experiences for some of the most beloved apps on our platforms. This role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to design intuitive interfaces and user flows that enhance the human experience. The designer will simplify complex problems into actionable proposals while ensuring a seamless end-to-end experience.

Responsibilities

• Design clear, high-impact experiences that are welcoming and intuitive.
• Work on information architectures, navigation models, and interfaces.
• Advocate for the human experience in crafting innovative interactions.
• Map out user flows, use cases, and systems for new products.
• Collaborate with teammates to push concepts further and strengthen final outputs.
• Convey design thought processes and decisions to a broad audience during review cycles.
• Work alongside engineers and QA to ensure a great final product.

Requirements

• 5+ years of design experience in a design studio or as a product designer.
• Solid portfolio demonstrating design skills and breadth of work.
• Ability to apply principles of visual design (hierarchy, balance, contrast) to new interfaces.
• Adept at visualizing, simplifying, and representing data intuitively.
• Good understanding of design systems and patterns.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch and Illustrator.
