As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our software. Your work will involve designing product concepts that harmonize vision, craftsmanship, speed, and business potential. You will be responsible for crafting every detail of new product features, ensuring that they are not only functional but also visually appealing. This role requires you to run projects from inception to execution, collaborating closely with engineers to bring your vision to life. You will partner with various teams, including Customer Experience, Sales, and Customer Success, to gather insights into the needs and desires of our diverse user segments. This data will inform your decisions as you prioritize and plan our product roadmap. Additionally, you will work with the Marketing team to create compelling narratives that resonate with users throughout their journey with Notion. As we scale, you will also be tasked with evolving our design system to create intuitive and practical patterns that enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design product concepts that balance vision, craft, speed, and business potential.
• Craft every detail of new product features, from idea to UX to pixel-perfect execution.
• Run projects end to end with engineers to drive your vision to the ship line.
• Partner closely with Customer Experience, Sales, and Customer Success teams to understand user needs and preferences.
• Use data and intuition to prioritize, plan, and scope the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create engaging stories across various channels.
• Create new patterns that are intuitive and practical, evolving the design system as we scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of working experience in product design.
• Ability to run projects independently from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of customer needs and user experience design.
• Skill in creating clear, intuitive, and visually appealing interfaces.
• Ability to balance business needs with design craft and speed.
• Strong collaboration skills with various stakeholders.
• Ability to tell compelling stories using both words and visuals.
• Experience working cross-functionally with project management, engineering, and research.
