About the position

CPI Security is seeking a talented and creative Product Designer with expertise in WordPress to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing digital products, with a strong emphasis on websites and web applications built on WordPress. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, marketers, and product managers, to create exceptional user experiences that meet both business objectives and user needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to execution for WordPress-based products, focusing on user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
• Utilize WordPress themes and plugins, and sometimes custom development, to implement user-friendly design solutions that align with project requirements.
• Ensure all designs are responsive and optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.
• Work closely with developers to ensure that designs are effectively translated into code and functionality.
• Develop and maintain consistent visual design systems, ensuring that the design elements align with brand guidelines and user expectations.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and performance metrics to continuously enhance the product experience.
• Collaborate with product managers, content teams, and marketing teams to understand business goals and user needs.
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including design systems, style guides, and UX/UI specifications for development teams.
• Create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate design ideas clearly.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on WordPress-based websites and web applications.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and others for wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.
• Deep understanding of WordPress, including theme customization, plugin integration, and page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, etc.).
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS, with the ability to work collaboratively with front-end developers.
• Strong skills in user research, usability testing, and the application of UX principles to design solutions.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your product design work, with a focus on WordPress websites, e-commerce platforms, and other digital products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain design concepts to stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges and solutions.
• High attention to detail and a passion for delivering pixel-perfect designs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with SEO best practices and performance optimization techniques for WordPress.
• Extensive experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce) and custom WordPress plugin development.
