About the position
The Product Designer at Apex Fintech Solutions is responsible for championing user-centered design principles to create intuitive and engaging business applications. This role involves researching user needs, developing solution designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless user experience across all products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews and job shadowing to understand user goals and create user personas.
- Create user flow diagrams, user journeys, and user stories based on requirements and user interviews.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes within an established design system to illustrate interface concepts.
- Solicit and incorporate feedback from the design team to enhance user experience across Apex products.
- Participate in regular design reviews to evaluate in-progress design work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Digital Design, Computer Science, HCI, or a related discipline, or 4+ years of UX/UI design experience.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting with other UX/UI designers and front-end developers.
- Proficiency with Figma and familiarity with Confluence and JIRA.
- Excellent communication skills and familiarity with Enterprise and Web App design systems.
- Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process and conceptualization skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience in FinTech is preferred.

- Experience with usability testing and user research methodologies.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards in design.
