We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Product Designer at Group, you will play a pivotal role in designing tools that provide CRE professionals with the resources they need to make informed decisions, stay updated with industry news, and take strategic actions. This position is in Richmond and offers a hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to understand user needs and business requirements.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and improvements.
  • Develop data-rich wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for new features and enhancements to existing products.
  • Create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that prioritize user experience and accessibility.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
  • Quickly iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the design system and ensure consistency across the product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or related field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
  • 2-3+ years of experience with product design, human-computer interaction, usability and user interface design, and/or visual design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects, including user research, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles and user research techniques.
  • Proficiency in using and contributing to a design system.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the commercial real estate sector.
  • Portfolio includes work that features lots of data, data visualization, and functionality related to workflows.
  • Understanding of data visualization principles and tools for representing complex data values in a clear and detailed manner.
  • Evidence of strong academic performance in college.
