As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex information and tasks into user-friendly designs. Your expertise will be essential in creating product experiences that are not only functional but also engaging and intuitive. You will be expected to lead the design process independently while also seeking feedback from peers and internal subject matter experts (SMEs). This role requires a holistic approach to design, ensuring that end-to-end experiences are considered in every project. You will be tasked with solving complex problems and collaborating with others to merge various solutions into a cohesive design ecosystem. Staying updated with the latest industry trends is vital to your success in this position. Your responsibilities will include utilizing techniques such as storyboarding and sketching to effectively communicate design concepts. A deep understanding of the UX process, including research, conceptual design, prototyping, and testing, is a must-have. You will need to demonstrate systems thinking and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. A proven track record of deploying user interface standards and conventions, as well as creating functional communication flows and dynamic interfaces, is essential. You should have a strong grasp of design theory and concepts to create effective visual communication that emphasizes hierarchy and balance through typography, color, space, and contrast. Additionally, you will be expected to work with design templates and patterns, multitask effectively, and deliver high-quality work under pressure. Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills are crucial for this role. Experience in designing for mobile and web-based product environments, particularly in the eCommerce sector, is highly valued. You will also need to have prior experience working on cross-functional teams throughout the product design process to successfully launch products. Familiarity with tools such as Figma and Journey Maps is required, while experience with prototyping tools like Flinto, Framer, Marvel, or Principle is considered a nice-to-have.
