About the position

Harvey is a secure AI platform designed for professionals in law, tax, and finance, aimed at enhancing productivity and automating complex workflows. The platform utilizes advanced algorithms and reasoning-capable large language models (LLMs) that have been tailored by a team of experts comprising lawyers, engineers, and research scientists. As the company has established a strong product-market fit, it is rapidly expanding its team. Harvey has formed partnerships with some of the largest law firms and professional service providers globally, and has successfully raised significant funding from strategic investors, including Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, and the OpenAI Startup Fund. The team at Harvey is composed of top talent from renowned organizations such as DeepMind, Google Brain, Stripe, and Tesla Autopilot, working closely with OpenAI to innovate in the field of generative AI and transform professional services. The role of Product Designer at Harvey involves taking ownership of multiple concurrent projects from ideation to launch. The ideal candidate will be someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to create the most effective product for customers. As an early team member, this individual will play a crucial role in establishing the design culture that balances speed with process. Designers in this position may not always have the luxury of time for high-fidelity mockups or extensive user studies, but they will be expected to execute efficiently while laying a strong foundation for future product expansion. Responsibilities include leading the design process for various projects, collaborating with product and legal teams, creating user flows and prototypes, addressing complex AI product challenges, and developing a lean design system to facilitate faster workflows. The role also involves working closely with engineers to implement designs and learning how to make LLMs practical for intricate knowledge work.
