About the position

The Designer position at MacKenzie-Childs is a full-time role focused on overseeing the entire product design process, from initial concept to final samples. The designer will play a crucial role in evolving the brand's product offerings while ensuring they resonate with current market trends and customer preferences. This position requires a creative individual who can blend colors, patterns, and textures to maintain the brand's unique identity in a competitive marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Work as an integral member of the design team focusing on Enamelware and Tabletop categories.
• Conceptualize and design new products based on inspirations from creative briefs and discussions with the creative director.
• Create digital designs including advanced 3D models that incorporate signature patterns and textures.
• Maintain awareness of market trends and materials to support innovative design initiatives.
• Create manufacturing development packets in collaboration with Product Managers and product instructionals for new products.
• Communicate with vendors through virtual meetings, telephone, and emails as needed.
• Collaborate with other Designers and Product Managers as part of the Tabletop Product Partner Team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in product design, particularly in home furnishings or related fields.
• Strong skills in digital design tools, including 3D modeling software.
• Ability to conceptualize and execute designs that align with brand identity and market trends.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and vendors.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on creating comprehensive manufacturing development packets.
