About the position
As the designer at Blip, you will own the end-to-end design process for our marketplace platform, which enables advertisers to access thousands of billboards across the country. This role offers a unique opportunity to have an immediate and visible impact on the future of outdoor advertising, akin to an AirBnB for digital signs. You will be responsible for creating intuitive user experiences that simplify the billboard advertising process, ensuring that both advertisers and media owners can effectively utilize the platform.
Responsibilities
- Owning the complete design process from user research and problem definition through to final implementation.
- Evolving the marketplace UI to simplify billboard advertising.
- Creating intuitive experiences that help users navigate thousands of billboard options and launch campaigns confidently.
- Collaborating directly with engineering to bring designs to life.
- Building and maintaining a design system to ensure consistent, high-quality experiences.
- Conducting user interviews to understand the needs of billboard owners and advertisers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product design experience with a track record of shipping features that users love.
- Strong proficiency in Figma and modern design tools.
- Experience conducting user research and translating insights into actionable designs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly articulate design decisions.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in autonomy and take initiative to solve problems.
- Passion for simplifying complex systems into intuitive experiences.
