About the position

Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Business Systems Analyst II position is focused on working directly with the New Product Development departments to develop business solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as strong technical project management capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining a deep understanding of relevant business areas and processes to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements. In this position, the analyst will shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions. They will participate in application configuration, analysis, management, and maintenance in an enterprise environment, which includes access administration, issue resolution, performance monitoring, and ensuring business continuity. The analyst will also monitor system logs for unusual activity, participate in infrastructure projects, and support user training activities. Adherence to Quality System Procedures and Change Control is essential, as is the ability to lead or participate in project delivery and provide end-user support. The role also involves creating various documentation artifacts, including business case documentation, functional requirements, and process flows. The analyst will need to understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks, and communicate trade-offs to business partners. They will help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups and may participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for audits under management direction. This position is onsite at the Naples, FL headquarters and is not a remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) and business processes to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Participate in Application Configuration, Analysis, Management, and Maintenance in an Enterprise environment.
  • Access administration and user onboarding.
  • Issue resolution, patching, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure reliability, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Monitor system logs for unusual activity and escalate or make recommendations for resolution.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects to provide application specifications and requirements.
  • Support user training activities.
  • Adhere to the Quality System Procedures and Change Control.
  • Lead and/or participate in delivery of projects.
  • Provide Application End User support.
  • Respond, resolve, or escalate reported incidents.
  • Coordinate application needs from back-end platforms through user interface.
  • Ensure stability, integration, and integrity of production systems.
  • Complete all QA Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions in a timely manner.
  • Participate in assessment of application security and identity management requirements.
  • Create artifacts including business case documentation, scope documentation, detailed functional requirements, operational requirements, process flows, and test cases.
  • Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating discussions and escalating issues where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in projects where multiple functions work in a matrix structure is a plus.
  • Professional certification in PMP in Project Management technologies is preferred.
  • Business analysis certification (e.g. CBAP) is a plus.
  • Experience in PLM and ALM systems is preferred.
  • Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of new technologies is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
  • Experience working in projects where multiple functions work in a matrix structure is a plus.
