About The Position
The Product Development Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the company's product development initiatives are achieved within agreed upon time and budget parameters. Development efforts will consist of both 'new' products and systems, in addition to the enhancement of existing product lines. To ensure that development initiatives occur in the proper fashion, the Product Development Engineer will be expected to utilize proven product development processes, improving these processes where appropriate. Since there are no direct reports to this position, the Product Development Engineer must possess superb interpersonal and communication skills and have a demonstrated ability to inspire others to 'join the project'. A solid engineering knowledge of aluminum storefront, entrance and curtainwall systems combined with a proven ability to successfully manage projects is essential for this position.
