About the position

At TruBridge, you will be a part of a team of experienced IT professionals tasked with creating applications and products to support the healthcare market of Hospitals, Clinics, and Long Term Care Facilities. Leveraging an Agile development methodology that provides the ability to react to ever-changing Regulatory and Market requirements, we develop using a modern and diverse technology stack. This role requires exceptional skills in various duties below the level of Product Development - Engineering Analyst. You will have an excellent understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), processes, and tools, having gone through these cycles many times, possibly in varied domains. You will be responsible for producing quality working maintainable code on time with minimal supervision and technical guidance. Additionally, you should be able to quickly narrow down the root cause of issues when troubleshooting with minimal assistance, rarely asking for help. In this position, you will be involved in design discussions from a technical standpoint, taking many factors into consideration. You should be able to take on responsibilities outside of the traditional engineer role when necessary and be proficient in applying new patterns and techniques, producing "novel" (non-cookie cutter) code. As you progress, you will begin to show initiative and demonstrate maturing development practices. There may also be opportunities for you to serve as a mentor for other engineers by sharing your experience and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Produce quality working maintainable code on time with minimal supervision and technical guidance.
  • Quickly narrow down the root cause of issues when troubleshooting with minimal assistance.
  • Participate in design discussions from a technical standpoint, considering various factors.
  • Take on responsibilities outside of the traditional engineer role when necessary.
  • Apply new patterns and techniques to produce novel code.

  • Serve as a mentor for other engineers by sharing experience and expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the field.
  • Working knowledge of an Object Oriented programming language.
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
  • Ability to act both independently and as a team member.
  • Willingness to learn and accept mentoring.
