About the position

The Product Development Manager at 7-Eleven, Inc. is responsible for supporting the development of new products, platforms, and packaging for the business unit. This role involves cultivating consumer insights and market data to identify growth opportunities for Private Brands, leading the product development process, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to market.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of new products, platforms, and packaging for the business unit.
• Cultivate consumer insights, market data, and trends to identify opportunities for growth in Private Brands.
• Lead the product development process for specific categories, including opportunity identification and consumer testing.
• Partner with the Sr. Category Manager to develop strategies that support the business unit.
• Manage the full product lifecycle of new and existing products, including pricing strategy.
• Provide data related to market opportunities, product positioning, and revenue forecasting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on objectives and targets.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on supplier setup and inventory management.
• Lead product sampling and tasting panels with consumers.
• Analyze key financial indicators to achieve portfolio performance targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years of experience in category management or product development, preferably with private brands.
• Retail and/or manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Skilled in using marketing metrics and consumer insights to drive business decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in consumer testing and product sampling.
• Familiarity with supply chain management processes.
