About the position

The Product Development Manager for Electric Products is responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle for assigned categories, focusing on electric kitchen products. This role involves collaborating with various teams and stakeholders to source, develop, and launch new products while ensuring they meet market demands and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for adding new products to assigned categories (licensed or in-house brands)
• Oversee the product lifecycle from start to finish
• Work with China, India, and/or domestically to source products in various categories
• Manage and approve all samples for production with the team collectively
• Get initial costing from China and understand retails based on existing products or in-store competitive shopping
• Work closely with Customers, Sales, Design, Production, Licensing Coordinator, and Senior Management on a daily basis
• Ability to multi-task on various projects under strict timelines
• Conduct competitive shopping for inspiration and product analysis
• Work independently and/or in unison with peers
• May be required to travel overseas
• Attend and prepare for the International Housewares Show (IHA) in Chicago, IL

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• 2+ years in professional product development experience in a similar field
• Daily use of internal PDM system for products ordered
• Understand industry, consumer, and category trends
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
