About the position

The Product Development Manager - Food & Supplement at Medi-Weightloss Corporate is responsible for overseeing the entire life cycle of the company's signature supplements and products. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, product development, and quality assurance to ensure that products meet nutritional parameters and customer needs. The manager will collaborate with various internal departments and external vendors to innovate and enhance the product line, ultimately contributing to the company's revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Manages the entire life cycle of Medi-Weightloss Signature Supplement and Products from strategic planning to tactical activities.
• Employs sourcing strategies using existing and new vendors to develop relationships with new product vendors.
• Discovers and presents new product ideas focusing on product line extensions and internal discussions.
• Leads frequent vendor calls to discuss Purchase Order status, New Product initiatives, and Key Priorities.
• Works with contract manufacturing partners to ensure quality control and food safety standards are met.
• Implements quality assurance processes as outlined in the SOP Manual.
• Utilizes and improves existing tools for product and vendor management.
• Works with Graphic Design to manage artwork and label development timelines.
• Responsible for circulation of all new and existing artwork for internal approval.
• Leads internal sensory evaluation and taste testing for new products.
• Maintains timelines and product development pipeline for launches.
• Coordinates between internal stakeholders during product pre-launch processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience with project management
• Previous experience with Product Development, CGMP guidelines, USDA, FDA, and other food and dietary supplements regulations.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time, and apply critical thinking skills.
• Requires availability to travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America (up to 25%).
• Ability to lift and carry 25+ pounds and sit for extended periods.
• Must live in the Tampa Bay area.
