About the position

The Product Development Manager at Fore All is responsible for overseeing the entire product development process from concept to final production. This role is crucial in managing communication between the design team and manufacturers, ensuring product samples meet quality standards, controlling costs, and meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of the apparel production process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the flow of all incoming product samples, ensuring timely feedback and fit notes are shared between designers and manufacturers.
  • Oversee fit notes and ensure proper communication to and from manufacturers, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
  • Research and source new manufacturers, ensuring alignment with Fore All's quality, cost, and sustainability standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the design team and manufacturers, ensuring clear and efficient communication about designs, fit, materials, and production timelines.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to negotiate pricing and ensure products are developed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Create, track, and manage the product development calendar, ensuring all teams meet critical deadlines from initial concept to final production.
  • Maintain organized records of product development, including tracking prototypes, costs, and communication logs to streamline processes.
  • Work closely with designers and other departments to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and overall product vision.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve product development processes, enhancing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product development or design production, preferably in the apparel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the apparel manufacturing process, including materials, fittings, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in vendor negotiation and sourcing.
  • Proficiency in project management tools or software, including Google documents, email, and spreadsheets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the golf or activewear industry.
  • 3+ years in the apparel industry.
  • Degree in fashion design or related schooling.
