About the position

The New Product Development Manager will lead the efforts in developing and introducing new products to the market, focusing on innovative solutions in mechanical and electrical engineering. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify market trends and customer needs, ensuring that new products align with company goals and differentiate the client in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall new product development process from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing teams to define product requirements and specifications.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for new product initiatives, and manage project execution to meet established goals.
  • Drive innovation within the organization by fostering a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate new technologies, materials, and processes to enhance product performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to oversee product design, prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; advanced degree a plus but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in new product development, application engineering, innovation management, or product engineering.
  • Proven track record of successfully specifying products or launching new products from concept to commercialization.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving innovation.
  • Experience working in the HVAC or modular building construction industry is a requirement.
  • Knowledge of design software, CAD tools, and product lifecycle management systems.
