About the position

The Product Development Manager (Medicaid) at Molina Healthcare is a pivotal role responsible for the strategic development and management of health insurance products. The manager will oversee internal business projects and programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts to ensure the successful delivery of products from the design phase to completion. This role requires a keen focus on project management, including planning and directing schedules and budgets, while also monitoring product performance throughout its lifecycle. In this role, the Product Development Manager will work closely with product leadership to foster collaboration across various departments, integrating innovations and solutions into cohesive corporate-wide products. The manager will conduct competitive gap analyses to identify weaknesses in current product offerings and escalate findings to leadership for strategic decision-making. Additionally, the manager will participate in the formulation of health insurance product strategies and roadmaps, informed by thorough analyses of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), market requirements, and consumer benefits. The position also entails engaging with external vendors, focusing on process improvements, and managing organizational change. The manager will lead a team in executing business programs, serving as a subject matter expert in the functional area, and ensuring that critical needs are met. Responsibilities include vetting potential partners, assisting with contracting and onboarding, and providing operational leaders with recommendations for process enhancements. Furthermore, the manager will be responsible for creating product collateral, training materials, and marketing content to support product development initiatives, as well as generating and distributing standard reports on a scheduled basis.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct competitive gap analysis.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
  • Experience in managing budgets and project schedules.
