About the position

The Product Development Manager (Medicaid) at Passport Health Plan by Molina Healthcare is responsible for developing strategic plans and initiatives for health insurance products that align with Molina's business development goals and operational improvements. In this position, the manager will work closely with product leadership to innovate and create corporate-wide products and solutions. This includes conducting competitive gap analyses to identify weaknesses in current product offerings and participating in the development of product strategies based on thorough market analysis and consumer needs. The manager will also focus on process improvement and organizational change management, leading teams in executing business programs and serving as a subject matter expert in the functional area. The role requires the creation of product collateral, training materials, and marketing content to support product development efforts. The manager will generate and distribute standard reports to track progress and performance metrics, ensuring that all initiatives align with the organization's goals and objectives. This position is crucial for driving the success of Molina's Medicaid offerings and improving the health and quality of life for members across Kentucky.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for health insurance products.
  • Manage internal business projects and programs involving cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets from inception through delivery.
  • Collaborate with product leadership to innovate and create corporate-wide products.
  • Conduct competitive gap analysis to identify weaknesses in product offerings.
  • Participate in the development of health insurance product strategy and roadmap.
  • Assist with growth and business development solutioning activities.
  • Focus on process improvement and organizational change management.
  • Lead and manage teams in planning and executing business programs.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in the functional area and lead programs to meet critical needs.
  • Manage the vetting of potential partners and assist with contracting and onboarding.
  • Provide recommendations on opportunities for process improvements to operational leaders.
  • Create product collateral, training, and marketing materials to support product development.
  • Generate and distribute standard reports on schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in product development.
  • Operational Process Improvement experience.
  • Project and program management experience.
  • Healthcare experience.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with various levels of leadership across the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of product development experience.
  • Managed Care (specifically Medicaid) experience.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional highly matrixed organization.
