About the position

The Product Development Manager (Medicaid) at Molina Healthcare is responsible for developing comprehensive plans and strategies for health insurance products that align with the company's business development goals and operational improvements. The manager will oversee the entire product design process, ensuring that products are delivered from inception to completion while adhering to project schedules and budgets. The position also entails monitoring and analyzing product performance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. In this role, the Product Development Manager will work closely with product leadership to foster collaboration across various departments, integrating innovations and solutions into cohesive corporate-wide products. The manager will conduct competitive gap analyses to identify weaknesses in current product offerings and escalate findings to leadership for strategic decision-making. Additionally, the manager will participate in the development of the health insurance product strategy and roadmap, taking into account the implications of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), market requirements, and consumer benefits. The position requires a focus on process improvement and organizational change management, as well as program management to enhance business operations. The manager will lead a team in planning and executing business programs, serving as a subject matter expert in the functional area. Responsibilities also include managing the vetting process for potential partners, assisting with contracting and onboarding, and providing recommendations for operational improvements. The role involves creating product collateral, training materials, and marketing content to support product development initiatives, as well as generating and distributing standard reports on a scheduled basis.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product development or management, preferably in healthcare or insurance.
  • Strong understanding of health insurance products and Medicaid regulations.
  • Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
