About the position

The Product Development Manager Swim/Special Projects at Tory Burch will lead the development of Ready-to-Wear products with a focus on swim and sport styles. This role serves as a key liaison between design, production, merchandising, and vendors, ensuring timely and efficient task completion throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will balance technical design expertise with product development skills, contributing to a dynamic and creative environment while achieving financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Ready-to-Wear products focusing on swim/sport styles.
• Act as a liaison between design, production, merchandising, and vendors.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials from development to bulk production.
• Review trim embellishment, print, and material/color.
• Troubleshoot costing concerns throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure daily communication with Design, Merchandising, and Tech teams for deadline adherence.
• Develop allocation strategies and negotiate costs with vendors during development and bulk stages.
• Conduct fittings and ensure garment fit aligns with design intent.
• Manage and maintain style tracker to capture adoption rates and track costing processes.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience in product development, with a focus on swim preferred.
• Proficient technical knowledge of swim construction, garment lead times, costing, and quality testing.
• Experience working with overseas manufacturing, particularly swim/woven vendors.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications and PLM software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Outstanding ability to work independently and lead a team.
