About the position

The position involves managing a Product Development (PD) team focused on adhesives and coatings for packaging materials, with an emphasis on sustainability. The role is responsible for driving the development of innovative products that align with strategic and financial goals, while also identifying trends in the industry and ensuring the timely launch of products. The position requires collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams to support product scale-up and maintain a strong safety culture in the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Manage the PD team supporting adhesives and coatings for packaging materials with a focus on sustainability.
• Drive the development of high-quality and innovative products to meet strategic and financial goals.
• Identify new trends in packaging, adhesives, and coatings technology and allocate resources accordingly.
• Develop and implement processes to ensure consistent product development while managing opportunities and risks.
• Support and execute the intellectual property strategy, capturing and defending Henkel's intellectual property through patents.
• Prioritize global and regional projects, assigning and leveraging resources effectively.
• Ensure timely development, scale-up, and launch of products.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality teams to enable faster scale-ups.
• Support and promote a strong laboratory safety culture and best practices.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a relevant technology or market.
• 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• People management and leadership experience preferred.
• Proven track record in innovation management and commercial success.
• Knowledge of polyurethanes is preferred.
• Experience in technology scouting is preferred.
