As a Product Development Manager, you will oversee and manage the entire product development process from concept through to production, ensuring that all products meet industry standards and customer specifications. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and fostering strong business relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Your role will also involve developing and mentoring the current Product Development team, coordinating training plans, and leading forecasting activities to predict future market trends and product demands. You will be responsible for data management and reporting, overseeing updates to PowerBI, and preparing monthly and quarterly reports. Additionally, you will monitor team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and manage administrative duties such as calendar coordination and team-building activities. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Product Development process from concept through to production.
  • Ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Network with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) contacts to foster strong business relationships.
  • Represent the company in stakeholder meetings and client engagements, especially in the absence of the Chief Product Officer.
  • Develop and mentor the current Product Development team, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Coordinate training plans (GEDP) and development programs for team members.
  • Lead forecasting activities to predict future market trends and product demands.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining business plans, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee updates to PowerBI and maintain the customer contact and organizational database (CRM).
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ELT S&E reports.
  • Review and provide feedback on team reports.
  • Monitor team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and manage time-sheets.
  • Conduct regular OKR (Objectives and Key Results) reviews and updates.
  • Coordinate calendar and vacation scheduling for the team.
  • Serve as the social events coordinator, organizing team-building activities and events.
  • Update weekly planners and manage team content coordination.
  • Handle project review coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product development within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successful customer and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in team leadership and development.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to oversee complex product development projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., PowerBI) and CRM systems.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
