About the position

The Product Development Manager at Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is responsible for leading the development and management of energy assistance products and services. This role involves gathering stakeholder requirements, conceptualizing product ideas, developing business plans, and overseeing the product lifecycle from design to launch. The manager will work across departments to support business cases, conduct market research, and manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards while promoting a culture of ethical business practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops and champions product concepts by identifying customer challenges and market trends.
• Leads cross-functional teams to quantitatively test market potential and measure acceptable price points for products.
• Manages operational planning, including vendor and partnership management, to ensure effective product delivery.
• Develops profit and loss statements and financial forecasts to support executive approvals and regulatory submissions.
• Leads market and sales planning efforts, including identifying customer segments and setting sales targets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, engineering or related field.
• 7 years' experience in leading complex market/program/product analysis or product launch.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead financial modeling and advanced customer analytics.
• Strong project management skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to synthesize data into actionable deliverables and manage conflict effectively.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.
