About the position

The Product Development Manager at Infinite Biomedical Technologies (IBT) will lead the development of innovative prosthetic solutions, overseeing cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle. This role is crucial in ensuring that products meet specifications and comply with industry standards, while also managing stakeholder communication and training team members as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Oversee the design, prototyping, and testing phases to ensure product specifications are met
  • Manage design controls and determine project tasks and deliverables with team input
  • Monitor progress and check in with team members regularly
  • Create and/or review deliverables from the team
  • Implement methodologies and best practices to enhance product development processes
  • Manage stakeholder communication and provide regular updates on product progress to company leadership
  • Develop Statements of Work (SOWs) and monitor progress
  • Manage relationships between the team and subcontractors and review deliverables
  • Collaborate with production for Design Transfer to Manufacturing of new features and products
  • Work with quality and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Train team members where necessary

Requirements

  • B.S. in Bioengineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading cross-functional product development teams in a medical device company
  • In-depth understanding of fundamentals of electronics, software, and mechanics
  • Experience with Total Product Life Cycle from conceptualization to obsolescence
  • Experience with product development under a strict quality management system (21 CFR 820, ISO 13485)
  • Prior experience with project management software like Asana, Jira, etc.
  • Demonstrated excellence in ability to organize oneself and others
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to commute to the office in Baltimore, Maryland

Nice-to-haves

  • M.S. in Bioengineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 5 years of work experience
  • Experience with Bluetooth enabled wearable medical devices
  • Experience with physiological signal acquisition medical devices (EMG, ECG, EEG)
  • Prior experience working within an electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) like Greenlight Guru, Qualio, etc.
  • Experience with EU CE marking, IEC 60601, ISO 14971
